This draft long-term strategy which will help shape how we look after the Properties and Collections within our care in the future.

Properties and Collections Strategy: Towards Sustainable Stewardship is a new long-term, values-based framework for the sustainable management of Scotland’s Properties and Collections in State Care.

It will help guide how historic places, objects, and archival records in HES’s care are cared for, used, and protected for generations to come, helping to deliver more for the heritage assets that are the most culturally important to the people of Scotland.

This publication is currently in draft. Responses to the public consultation will help to inform the final strategy.
