The Assynt Cairns Designation Project: Summary

A summary of work undertaken to review the cultural significance and national importance of neolithic and bronze age burial monuments in northwest Scotland, centred on Assynt parish, Sutherland.

This report details the process of review a group of over 50 Neolithic and Bronze Age burial monuments in northwest Scotland. 31 of these monuments are now recognised for their national importance, as Scheduled Monuments.
